Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a psychotherapy technique designed to help individuals heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. It uses bilateral stimulation, often through guided eye movements, to support the processing of traumatic memories and reduce the emotional charge connected to them.

Dar Krom, MSW, LISW, is trained in EMDR and provides therapeutic support for clients seeking relief from trauma and related symptoms.

Play therapy strategies

Play therapy is primarily used with children, leveraging play to help them express feelings, process experiences, and develop coping skills. Through structured play, children can work through trauma, anxiety, behavioral concerns, and emotions in a safe environment.

Art therapy strategies

Art therapy uses creative expression to support emotional exploration and healing. Drawing, painting, sculpting, and similar activities can help people communicate feelings that are difficult to put into words.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. It can support healthier thinking, emotional regulation, and practical coping skills for anxiety, depression, and related concerns.

Strengths-based focused therapy

Strengths-based work emphasizes existing abilities and resources. It helps clients recognize what is already working, build resilience, and move toward goals with more self-understanding and confidence.
